Michael Alston, President
Michael was named president upon the formation of Landmark Interactive in June 2006 after leading a series of acquisitions in the digital marketing space. He served as Vice President, New Ventures and Corporate Development for Landmark Communications, Inc. since November 2003.

From 1995 to 2003, Michael was General Manager, Interactive Media for the Virginian-Pilot, Landmark's flagship newspaper in Norfolk, Virginia where he led the development of numerous interactive media businesses. For four years beginning in 1991, Mr. Alston explored business opportunities as Director of Business Development for Landmark Community Newspapers in Louisville, Kentucky.

Michael first joined Landmark's Corporate New Ventures team in 1989 after eight years in the energy information business with Schlumberger in the Gulf of Mexico. He holds a B. S. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.

Karl Quist, Director of Business Development
Karl Quist currently serves as Vice President Business Development for Landmark Interactive. He is responsible for acquisitions, partnerships and new business initiatives. Before joining Landmark Interactive, Karl was President of TotalVid, an online video marketplace he founded in 2003. Before TotalVid, he served for three years as New Ventures Director at Landmark Communications, where he identified and managed investments in the online and new media sectors. Karl is a former director of Q Interactive (formerly CoolSavings) and Alliant Cooperative Data Solutions.

Prior to Landmark, Karl spent two years with McKinsey & Company where he provided strategic and operations counsel to leading Internet and financial services companies. He holds a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
